Annual report

Contexte is a collective driven by a sense of mission. It is an independent media outlet that seeks to improve how democracy works through expert reporting.

Every year, we assess whether we have achieved this mission and make that assessment public. We talk about what we are proud of, what we are striving for and what we haven't managed to achieve yet.

In 2026, we changed the way we display our work. We launched a new annual report format, shifting away from our previous focus on our democratic, human, and environmental impact (2022–2024).

We realised that tracking our true impact required more resources than we had. The new format allows us to better showcase our work and insights on what is working well and what we need to improve as a collective.

With information about our economic and business model, coupled with our long-lasting commitment to transparency, our annual reports are the best way to get to know us.
